The GB Rowing Team competes each year in the FISA World Cup series sponsored by Samsung that features three international regattas spread across Europe between April and June.

In the 2013 and 2014 seasons the World Cup will be held outside of Europe with World Cup I due to be staged in Australia

Points are awarded to each competing nation for finishes in Olympic-class, Paralympic-class and International-class events with the overall winner of the World Cup holding the most points after the three regattas each year and the “leading nation” after each World Cup wearing special yellow bibs on the medal podium and coloured undershirts when racing at the next event.
