Jo Cook
For the first World Cup of the 2012 season in Belgrade, Jo won a bronze medal in the women's eight with Vicki Meyer-Laker, Olivia Whitlam, Emily Taylor, Jessica Eddie, Lindsey Maguire, Katie Greves, Olivia Carnegie-Brown and (cox) Caroline O'Connor.
At the 2012 GB Rowing Team Senior Trials held on 10/11 March at Eton/Dorney, Jo came 4th in the women's pair with crewmate Polly Swann.
At the 2011 World Rowing Championships in Bled, Slovenia, Jo raced in the Women's Eight with crew mates Alison Knowles, Jessica Eddie, Louisa Reeve, Natasha Page, Lindsey Maguire, Katie Greves, Victoria Thornley and (cox) Caroline O'Connor. The crew won a Bronze medal, just 2 seconds behind Canada.
During the 2011 World Cup Series Jo raced in the women's eight, taking a silver medal in Munich and 4th place in Lucerne.
At the 2011 GB Rowing Team Senior Trials held on 16-17 April at Eton/Dorney, Jo and crewmate Alison Knowles were third in the women's pair.
At the 2010 World Rowing Championships on New Zealand's Lake Karapiro, Jo raced in the women's eight, finishing 4th.
For the 2010 World Cup Series, Jo raced in the eight, winning gold in Bled, silver in Munich and bronze in Lucerne. This was a promising season for the women's eight who had shown consistency throughout the World Cup series.
Jo has represented GB at World Junior, U23 and senior level. At the Junior World Championships in 2000 she rowed with her identical twin sister. She competed at the European Rowing Championships in 2007 and 2008 in the women's eight, winning bronze and silver medals respectively. She has won the Remenham Cup at Henley Royal 3 times and Women's Henley 7 times.
Jo came 5th in the women's eight at the 2009 World Championships in Poznan, following her gold medal at the 2009 Banyoles World Cup and 5th place in Munich.
She is a London girl at heart and loves experiencing everything the city has to offer.
