For the first World Cup of the 2012 season in Belgrade, Heather raced in the women's pair with Helen Glover, winning a fine gold medal.

At the 2012 GB Rowing Team Senior Trials held on 10/11 March at Eton/Dorney, Heather won the women's pair with crewmate Helen Glover.

Heather raced in the women's pair with Helen Glover at the 2011 World Rowing Championships in Bled. The duo once again took silver behind New Zealand, but this year closed the gap to less than one tenth of a second. Australia took the Bronze.

During the 2011 World Cup Series, Heather and crewmate Helen Glover won impressive gold medals in the women's pair at both Munich and Lucerne, winning the overall World Rowing Cup Series.

At the 2011 GB Rowing Team Senior Trials held on 16-17 April at Eton/Dorney, Heather and crewmate Helen Glover dominated the women's pair final to win in a time of 7:15.27.

At the 2010 World Rowing Championships on New Zealand's Lake Karapiro, Heather along with crewmate Helen Glover gave a breakthrough performance in the women's pair, showing no fear in their first senior Worlds by doggedly hanging on to the coat-tails of the reigning world champions, New Zealand to win a fine silver medal.  The USA took the bronze.

For the 2010 World Cup Series Heather raced in the women's pair with Helen Glover, taking 9th place in Bled, 5th in Munich and then at Lucerne was unfortunately unable to race due to her crewmate's illness.

Heather won gold with Olivia Whitlam in the women's pair at the 2007 World Under 23 Championships, having joined the GB Rowing Team's Start Programme, sponsored by Siemens, the previous year.  That year she also won silver at the National Championships and the Home Countries Regatta in the women's pair, and took gold at the Indoor Championships.

In 2008 Heather won the Rememnham Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta, and in 2009 was 7th in the eight at the European Championships.

Heather was commissioned from RMA Sandhurst in August 2008 into the Royal Artillery.  She has now been released from Army duties to allow her to train full time.

Heather enjoys most physical outdoor activities and before starting to row was a keen sailor and snowboarder, although both these hobbies are now temporarily on hold.

She graduated from Bath University with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Technology.
